When we’re not out in the shop working or onsite for an install, the crew here at Pinto Carpentry loves to explore our incredible state for fun activities with the family. We love collecting artworks made by local NJ artisans, taking our pets out for a stroll downtown, and enjoying local fairs and family-friendly events across the state. We live, work, and play here just like you do, and supporting local businesses and vendors is important to all of us! Today on the blog, we’re selecting some of our favorite spring activities for April and May to enjoy with your family in New Jersey.

Somerville’s Downtown Puppy Pawlooza event is heading to Main Street and DivisionStreet on April 26th! Leashed and well-behaved pets are welcomed to join the celebrations downtown. Enjoy colorful dog themed banners downtown, dozens of shops and restaurants with dog-friendly options and services, family-friendly activities, groomers, vendors, trainers, pet adoptions and rescues, and much more! Live Music, food, contests, and giveaways included!
Morristown’s Maccullough Hall Historical Museum ishosting the New Jersey Loyalists and The British Army specail event starting at 2PM on April 26th. Take a deep dive into US history and explore the museum's special historic collections. Children and families welcomed!
Enjoy some fresh air, sunshine, and local vendors at the Red Bank Street Fair and Craft Show event on April 26th. The event features artisans, craftspeople, vendors, rides, live music, games and more and has free admission. Last year more tha 20,000 people attended! It’s a fun-filled afternoon for New Jersey families.
Red Bank Battlefield is hosting the Spring Festival and Earth Day Celebration at National Park. Event runs from 11AM to 4PM and is free admission for all! Enjoy historical reenactments, public educational programming, art exhibitions, and more on April 26th.

ACUA’s Annual Earth Day celebration in Egg Harbor Township is coming to town on Sunday April 26th from 10AM-4PM, rain or shine. This is a kid and family friendly event with free admission! The event generally attracts a large crowd, so show up early for your best chance to see everything with less lines! Parking onsite and via shuttle to a lot nearby.
The Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum is hosting its annual flea market on April 26th from 8AM to 2PM. Enjoy antiques, vintage items, primitive farm-related collectibles, handmade crafts and more! Vendor spots are also available for $25 per table.
Stirling’s Spring Street Fair and Food Truck Fest rolls into town on Main Avenue on Sunday April 26th from 10AM to 5PM. Enjoy more than 100 vendors, a kids and family zone with games and rides, delicious food, and a whole day of fun.
Head over to Unionville Vineyards in East Amwell for the Vineyard Pig Roast with Brick Farm Tavern on May 1st starting at 6:30PM.
Taylorville is a must-see for all fans of Taylor Swift on May 1st! With a combination of video production, special effects, and Taylor Swift inspired performances, you can enjoy a tribute to the pop star that will have you jumping out of your seat. Enjoy this show at the Levoy Theatre in Millville, NJ as you sing along to your Swifitie faves!
The Down and Derby Wine Festival of Camden County promises a great day of fun and delicious wine tastings on May 2nd at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken.
The Annual Highlands Fiesta De Mayo Cantina Crawl starts from 12PM until 5PM on Saturday May 2nd. Tickets are $45 for 21+ adults and the fee includes samples, discounts on food, and drink specials at local participating businesses!
Elmwood Park’s Annual Spring Festival and Street Fair is running from 11AM to 5PM on Saturday May 2nd with more than 50 vendors, live music, a beer garden, and kids zone!

The Hammonton Arts and Music Festival is not to be missed on May 2nd from 1PM to 6PM. Enjoy a vendor market, food trucks, live music and entertainment, games, and much more! Admission is free and welcome to all.
Head over to downtown Highland Park around Raritan Ave and 5th Ave for the annual Highland Park Street FAir and Craft Show on May 3rd! There will be artists, craftspersons, food and games, live music and entertainment, rides, and more! Admission is free and family friendly.
On May 9th, join the New Jersey Audubon Society for “World Series of Birding” – this state wide event is free, and encourages folks to enjoy the competitive side of birdwatching! Teams will assemble from dawn to dusk to check migration patterns, or you can embark on a solo event to learn moer about local birds and wildlife. Create a team and join the fun and attend the awards brunch in Cape May on Sunday!
Old York Cellars is hosting Wine and Comedy Shows from April 25th through August 8th at the winery! Enjoy standup comedy, wine tastings, and chef paired food choices. Doors open at 7PM, shows begin at 8PM and run up to 2 hours. General admission is $25-$30 per person; 21+ event and tickets usually sell out! Order ASAP for your event!
Head over to Veterans Community Park in Randolph on May 16th for the 9th Annual Arts in the Park event! Celebrate local craftspersons and artisans and vendors as you enjoy photography, painting, sculptures, and more. Live art demonstrations, music, and entertainment happening all day long.
Downtown Woodbridge is hosting the Woodbridge Street Fair and Crafts Show on May 16th. We’re expecting 20,000 people or more in attendance! Admission is free and there will be shopping, food trucks, live music and entertainment, family friendly activities, and much more.
Starting May 23rd, June 27th, September 5th, and November 15th at 10AM, Fabricated For You Craft Store on Route 37 is hosting a series of Crafts Fairs in Toms River. There are expected to be more than 60 outdoor booths and 30 indoor booths featuring locally curated crafts and artisan made objects. Find everything from giftables to clothing and jewelry and more.
